Join the MCHS Improv Troupe 'Grizzly Got Your Tongue?' for an evening of laughter and audience participation as we raise money for Hank Savage.  Help us support Hank the Tank as he continues to battle leukemia. $5 donation at the door this Friday, April 27th at 7 p.m. Snacks will be available for sale from SAGA.  This show is Rated PG.

 

This year the MCHS SAGA Club will sponsoring the National Day of Silence this Friday 4/27 to highlight the silencing effect that bullying and harassment have on LGBT youth here and around the world. To participate, sign-up in Room 26, Mr Jewell’s room. You do not need to be a SAGA member to participate but you do need to sign up.

 

There will be a quick Dance Club meeting at the beginning of lunch on Friday in room 28.  Please stop by to provide some quick information. It should only take a few minutes.

This Saturday is the 14th annual All Comers Track and Field Meet. Registration at 9:00, meet starts at 10:00. This is your chance to run, jump or throw. Challenge an athlete on the track team. Come and participate or just watch the races.

 

Save the date! Prom will be held on May 12, 2018 from 6-11pm at KAL Estates. Early Bird ticket sales are on April 26th to April 27th and will cost $65 with an ASB Card and $70 without. Regular ticket sales are on May 1st to May 9th and will cost $70 with an ASB Card and $75 without. Guest passes are due no later than May 4th. The colors are deep blue, midnight black, and silver. The theme is Tonight We Dance Under the Stars!

 

Are you interested in helping your community AND having fun at the same time? Join Rotary Interact during lunch on Wednesday April 24th, in Ms. Monson's classroom to find out how you can help plan out the upcoming pet parade! Your support is greatly appreciated. Please note: if you have never participated in events with the club, but want to help, or if you simply wish to experience what the club is about, you are more than welcome to attend the meeting.

 

Enrollment is underway for NatureBridge Summer Backpacking programs! If you are interested in a one-week or two-week program in Yosemite and Olympic National Parks that offer the perfect combination of backpacking, science, and adventure stop by the counseling office!

Taking the SAT or ACT this spring? MCHS is hosting SAT tests in May and June and the ACT test in June. Please stop by the counseling office for more information and deadlines.

SENIORS.  The remaining payment for Disney Grad Night is due next Monday, April 30.  You do not need to wait until then. Bring the money NOW. Check with Ms. Monson if you don't know how much money you still owe.

 

Seniors, the box seats for graduation are on sale now in the counseling office.  The cost is $5 each and you can buy up to 10 seats, 1st come, 1st served. The revenue will be added to your senior points total.  Four seats equal 1 senior point.

The Learning Center is open at 7:45 before school and at lunch to check out books, work on homework, print out homework, get help with homework, or make an appointment for tutoring. Mrs. Long is ready to help you. The Learning Center is open after school every day until 4:15 for homework time or tutoring services.

 

Please remember to bring your ID or ASB card to the Learning Center when checking out a textbook or a chromebook.  When checking out a chromebook please remember to return it by the end of the day so it can be charged and ready for the next student to use.

Congratulations to the Track and Field Team: Saturday at the Bret Harte Invitational, the 21 athletes that participated had 30 personal records and came home with 4 medals.

Gentlemen, the Fremont House is coming to MCHS room 2 this Wednesday after school to assist you with your Prom tux order. All styles and colors are available, without the inconvenience and expense of going to the city. With each tux rental the Fremont House will be donating $10 to MCHS. Bring your date, or a picture of your date's dress to match colors.

There is a SAGA meeting today (Tuesday) in Room 26. We will be discussing a number of important topics so all members are encouraged to be there!

 

Any FFA kids that need an FFA point, meet Mr. Rowley at Building B at the Fairgrounds after school to help set up our event tent for the Dinner Dance this Saturday.

 

If you need water during the time breakfast and lunch are being served, please request from the cafeteria. A bottled water will be provided at no charge until the water fountain is fixed.
